Not Much Sympathy For Executive Package Cuts
posted in Success |The Economic Research Institute recently reported that the average total compensation of the highest paid executives at U.S. public companies fell 4 percent for the year ended in November 2008. With top executives receiving compensation packages worth an average of $17,760,518, this represented a cut of around $700,000. Whilst I would darely love to be receiving this sort of remmuneration for my many, many invaluable skills and shining personality, I can’t muster up a lot of sympathy for this outcome.
It does raise the question again though – how fair are executive packages? Should such levels of remmuneration even exist?
