Habits are a meeting of three core elements: knowledge, skill and desire.

  1. Knowledge - is the 'what to do and why'
  2. Skill - is the 'how to do it'
  3. Desire - is the motivation, or the 'want to do'

Success in your personal goals and interactions with others depends upon having all three factors working together.

Such prinicples are embedded in the teaching of Stephen Covey in 'The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People'.
